Job Title: Business Development Manager
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Development Manager to join our fast-growing marketing agency. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in business development, particularly in the marketing industry, and will be instrumental in identifying and securing new business opportunities. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication and negotiation skills, the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders, and a passion for driving growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Generation & Acquisition:
Identify and target new business opportunities in various sectors, focusing on companies that require marketing services (digital, branding, content, SEO, PPC, etc.).
Generate qualified leads and develop relationships with potential clients to grow the agency’s portfolio.
Maintain a healthy sales pipeline through active prospecting, networking, and participation in industry events and trade shows.
Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with current and potential clients.
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, understanding their business needs and aligning agency services with those needs.
Conduct regular client check-ins to ensure satisfaction and uncover new opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
Proposal & Contract Negotiation:
Prepare compelling proposals, presentations, and pitches to prospective clients.
Negotiate contracts and terms to close deals, ensuring both client and agency interests are met.
Collaborate with internal teams (creative, strategy, etc.) to develop customized solutions for clients.
Market Research & Trend Analysis:
Stay current with marketing industry trends, tools, and technologies to provide insights and recommendations for clients.
Analyze competitor offerings and positioning to identify opportunities for differentiation and new service offerings.
Strategic Planning & Reporting:
Develop and execute business development strategies in line with the agency’s growth objectives.
Provide regular reports on sales performance, pipeline status, and market trends to senior leadership.
Collaborate with marketing teams to ensure consistency of messaging and marketing campaigns across client-facing materials.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field within the marketing, advertising, or digital services industry.
Proven track record of acquiring new clients, managing high-value accounts, and exceeding sales targets.
Experience with both inbound and outbound sales strategies in a service-based industry.
Skills:
Strong understanding of marketing services, including digital marketing, SEO, PPC, content marketing, branding, and web development.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Exceptional negotiation and closing skills.
Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities.
Proficiency in CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Driving License is an advantage
