The Role: Business Development Manager - Specification
An amazing opportunity to drive and shape a smaller division within a renowned global business. You will be working as a BDM, selling flooring and tiling adhesives and screeds. Working closely with a supportive and knowledgeable technical support team you will have responsibility for growing specifications with architects, designers and end users within the M62 Corridor. Part of the role will also be to manage and develop relationships with specialist flooring contractors and applicators in the region. A great opportunity for an up and comer adhesives sales person to develop into specification or for an experienced specification sales person to move from another product area into flooring. Lots of coaching and support given. You will deliver CPD seminars and lead on technical demos and attend networking events to develop your architect relationships. You will receive excellent sales and product training but previous knowledge or awareness of the flooring industry would be a major advantage in the role.

For the position of BDM Specification, we are looking for individuals who meet some or all of the following criteria:

  • Has sold either a flooring or adhesives produce or a construction product into architects specifiers or contractors
  • Ideally has a track record of new business and is happy with a longer sales cycle in specification
  • Understanding of the flooring and main contractor and back sell sales process
  • Customer-facing experience and happy on site
  • Able to utilise CRM, business tools and lead generation products efficiently
  • Tenacious, resilient and a desire to exceed targets
  • Must be well presented, ambitious, driven, enthusiastic, articulate, and personable
  • Driving licence

The benefits package for the position of BDM - Specification :

  • Up to £50k basic
  • Company Hybrid Company Car or allowance
  • Bonus of 15% of salary per yr
  • 4% company pension contribution, private health insurance, lunch allowance
  • 25 days annual leave + Bank Holidays +option to purchase 5 days
