About the role We are looking for a skilled and motivated Business Development Manager to join our team and drive the sales of Carrier branded Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) air conditioning systems. As a business development manager, you will be the technical expert on VRF systems and will play a crucial role in promoting, selling, and supporting our products. Your primary responsibility will be to engage with clients, understand their specific cooling and heating needs, and offer tailored solutions using VRF technology. You will be required to build lasting relationships with customers to achieve sales targets and contribute to the growth of the company. Key Responsibilities: Proven experience in business development of VRF products in Australia In-depth knowledge of VRF air conditioning systems, features, capabilities, and applications. Informed on industry trends, technological advancements, and competitor products to maintain a competitive edge. Collaborate with Applied sales / service teams to identify potential customers and participate in sales presentations and sales review meetings. Provide technical guidance to customers, helping them understand how VRF systems can meet their cooling and heating requirements effectively. Analyze customer cooling and heating needs and assist consultants in designing VRF solutions that meet their specific requirements. Prepare detailed proposals, including system layouts, equipment selection, pricing, and technical documentation. Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, consultants, architects, and developers to generate new business opportunities. Act as a point of contact for technical inquiries and ensure prompt and accurate responses to customer queries. Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth project execution, from order placement to system installation and commissioning. Requirement: Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering with specialization in Airconditioning. 7-10 years’ experience in technical sales in the HVAC industry, with a focus on VRF air conditioning systems. Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey Product information effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. Basic Knowledge in Heat load estimation, computer-aided design (CAD) software and other relevant tools is a plus. Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients and attend industry events.
