BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER – COMMERCIAL / CONTRACT CLEANING (OFFICES & PROPERTY SECTOR)

Location: Sidcup, Kent
Salary: £40,000–£45,000 base + uncapped commission (realistic OTE £70k+, top performers £80k-£90k+)
Thames Cleaning is a third-generation, family-run commercial cleaning company with over 55 years of experience delivering exceptional office cleaning and landlord demise building cleaning services to some of London’s most prestigious clients.
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager from the commercial cleaning sector who can hit the ground running with a strong network of contacts, a proven track record of closing high-value contracts, and the drive to deliver sustained growth.

Responsibilities
  • Identifying and securing new commercial cleaning contracts across London and the Home Counties
  • Leveraging your existing network of industry contacts to generate quality leads
  • Meeting with property managers, facilities managers, landlords, and corporate clients to present Thames Cleaning’s services
  • Preparing and delivering proposals, tenders, and contract negotiations
  • Achieving and exceeding agreed sales targets and KPIs
  • Representing Thames Cleaning at networking events, industry exhibitions, and client meetings
  • Managing the full sales cycle - from initial lead generation through to contract negotiation, client onboarding, and successful service launch ("cradle to cradle” ownership)
