REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven track record in business development or sales within the construction or building materials industry (commercial glazing experience preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of curtain wall systems, storefronts, and glazing applications.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years in the commercial glazing industry.
  • 5+ years in business development or commercial sales.
  • Background in construction, architecture, engineering, or building envelope solutions.
  • Technical knowledge of fabrication, installation, and performance requirements for commercial glazing systems.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead sales growth and strategic expansion in our commercial glazing. This role is ideal for someone who understands architectural glass systems, curtain wall, storefronts, and building envelope solutions. You’ll play a key role in identifying new business opportunities, fostering client relationships, and generating revenue across commercial construction projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Market Development: Identify and pursue new project opportunities and strategic partnerships within commercial construction sectors such as retail, institutional & mixed-use.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets, with a focus on curtain wall, storefront and specialty glass solutions.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, general contractors, developers, consultants, and property managers to help position the company as a preferred glazing partner.
  • Lead Generation: Attend industry events, client meetings and networking functions to generate leads and build brand awareness.
  • Budgeting & Estimating: Prepare conceptual budgets and high level cost estimates for prospective projects during the early stages of client engagement, working closely with internal estimating and operations teams.
  • Project Involvement: Support bid preparation by gathering client requirements and ensuring accurate and timely submissions.
  • Client Management: Oversee the sales process from initial contact to contract negotiation and handoff to operations.
  • Reporting & Forecasting: Maintain an accurate sales pipeline using CRM tools and provide regular updates to management.
