Description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Business Development Manager to join our dynamic business development team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in business development, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of the Apparel & Fashion and/or Consumer Goods industry. The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving business growth by identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with clients and partners, and developing and executing strategies to achieve sales targets.
This position reports to the Sales Director. This individual will also frequently communicate with Management, Sales, Product Developers, Designers and Support in the US.
Responsibilities
Identify new business opportunities by researching potential clients, market trends, analyzing competitor activities, and staying updated on industry news/developments.
Define and approve target market segments that align to broader company goals
Gather feedback from customers to understand their needs, preferences, and pain points to provide tailored solutions. This can help identify opportunities for new products, services, or improvements to existing offerings
Monitor competitor activities to identify gaps in the market that the company can capitalize on. This can involve analyzing competitors’ products, pricing strategies, and marketing tactics.
Optimization of outreach process. Keeping abreast of emerging processes and trends. This can involve monitoring blogs, attending webinars/conferences, and networking with experts.
Use data analytics to understand customer behavior and preferences, and tailor outreach strategies to target specific customer segments more effectively.
Encourage business development team to contribute ideas for new products, services, or business opportunities based on feedback from outreach. This can involve setting up idea generation sessions.
Optimizing the lead generation process, understanding industries and personas by industry
Create effective territories within Apollo to maximize outreach and discovery calls
Develop and implement Business Development strategies to achieve business targets and expand the customer base.
Create sequences to confirm they align with the market segment, persona and our value proposition and marketing strategy
Collaborate with sales, design, marketing and product teams to ensure alignment on business objectives and marketing strategies.
Track and analyze Business Development KPIs to measure performance, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvement
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or sales.
Experience in Apparel & Fashion and/or Consumer Goods industry preferred
Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in CRM and sales software. Preferably Salesforce and Apollo.
No phone calls or third parties. Candidates must be United States citizens or legal permanent residents. Proof of legal residence and work authorization in the United States is required
