JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for achieving or exceeding quarterly and annual sales targets on a set of well-defined European based accounts, for Crops and Chemicals services.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in life science related field. Master’s degree (MA/MS/MBA) preferred.
  • Experience: Preferably ten or more years related experience and/or training.
  • Strong knowledge of the industrial chemical market and or Agrochemical market
  • Knowledge of the cosmetic and/or food industry market is a plus an equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
  • Other: Excellent leadership and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to negotiate and influence at the highest organizational levels.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement short and long-term sales strategies and objectives to achieve the Company’s revenue goals for the EU Crops and chemicals market.
  • Provide input on sales objectives, opportunities, and competition to senior business leadership.
  • Formulate and implement policies and objectives to ensure the efficient and effective operation of sales force activities.
  • Partner with operational senior leadership to drive and design tactics, strategy, and decision-making for new and existing service lines.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of customer needs, buying behavior, purchasing and decision-making and recommend creative solutions, methods, and procedures to meet customer expectations.
  • Develop and implement pricing and discounting in conjunction with senior leadership to ensure services are competitive while retaining profitability
  • Expected to recommend service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential.
  • Ensure consistency in the selling process.
  • Ensure adherence to pertinent regulatory requirements and to departmental policies, practices, and procedures [SOPs, safety procedures and biosafety protocols].
  • Gather data on marketing trends and competitive products and pricing.
  • Utilize CRM to capture customer information.
  • Complete all required sales documentation in a timely manner.
  • Participate in sales meetings and trade shows as required
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned.
  • Frequent travelling withing Europe will be required
