The company operates fully remotely and specializes in highly regulated, compliance-heavy sectors including aviation, finance, energy, and multinational corporations. ROLE SUMMARY: The company urgently needs a Business Development Manager to build the top of the sales funnel. This role ranges from booking qualified discovery meetings for the leadership team to potentially handling full negotiations up to contract stage (depending on candidate seniority). The successful candidate must be highly literate in cybersecurity to engage credibly with CISO and director-level decision-makers at major organizations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Generate new business opportunities through multi-channel outreach (LinkedIn, phone, email) • Qualify leads and book discovery calls with CISO/director-level decision-makers • Conduct initial client conversations and needs assessment • (For senior candidates) Lead full negotiation process through to terms agreement • Build and manage sales pipeline using SourceWhale CRM and automation tools • Represent the brand professionally at the highest executive levels • Deliver consultative, insight-driven sales approach (not transactional) • Work alongside Managing Director Giles on account development • Utilize market intelligence reports and thought leadership in sales conversations REQUIREMENTS: • 5+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in cybersecurity or tech sector • Deep understanding of cybersecurity concepts, roles, and organizational structures • Proven ability to engage C-suite and director-level stakeholders • Experience selling into critical infrastructure sectors (aviation, finance, energy, data centers) • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills • Comfortable with consultative, insight-led sales approach • Strong phone skills - must be confident with cold outreach • Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment • Experience with multi-channel sales tools (LinkedIn Recruiter, CRM systems, automation platforms) • Professional presence suitable for representing a premium brand • Recruitment industry experience (especially executive search) • Knowledge of compliance and regulatory frameworks in critical infrastructure • Existing network in cybersecurity or related sectors • Experience with SourceWhale, Casper, or similar sales automation tools • Understanding of the UK corporate landscape WORKING HOURS & ARRANGEMENT: • Remote working (UK-based preferred, South Africa possible but with limitations) • UK business hours essential • Fully remote company culture • Must be available for occasional client meetings (UK-based candidates can meet face-to-face; SA candidates at slight disadvantage here)
