QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • At least 3 years prior experience in the social sector in a similar commercial / sales role
  • Clinical/medical knowledge as well as Domiciliary care experience offering the ability to talk to customers at a technical level in a sales capacity
  • Proven, successful track record in business development. Creativity and innovative thinking, able to contribute suggestions for the progression of the business and to improve our efficiency and cost-effectiveness
  • Knowledge and proven experience in using CRM systems and use of data analytics
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to communicate well and appropriately with Clients/members of their family, the referrer community, senior stakeholders and Staff
  • Business acumen, understanding how to drive growth and meet revenue targets.
  • Tact and discretion in your dealings with others at all times, especially regarding confidential information about Clients and protect business information
  • Computer literate with the ability to manage administrative duties efficiently

Responsibilities:

ABOUT YOU AND THE ROLE

The successful candidate will be responsible for expanding the Draycott Nursing & Care’s client base, new enquiries and, ultimately, revenue, by researching markets, identifying new business opportunities, creating and delivering on strategies to drive business growth.
As this role with Draycott involves working with people in social care at all levels, whether it’s the internal team, networking with industry partners, reporting to senior management or building relationships with clients, the Business Development Manager has to enjoy working with people and should have excellent interpersonal skills. They must have a clinical background either within, nursing, care or in other medical fields, so that they are well equipped to have technical discussions as well as being relatable to their contacts.
At Draycott it is of the upmost importance to maintain and build on the relationships with healthcare partners such as GPs / Hospitals / etc to see how we can work more closely together and support their care requirements.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Utilise your expertise in business management and healthcare to focus on expanding Draycott’s market presence and develop business opportunities
  • Develop and execute business growth strategies tailored to the needs of high-net-worth individuals and families seeking premium home care services.
  • Identify new revenue streams, market trends, and opportunities for expansion, particularly in the private healthcare and nursing sectors.
  • Identify business opportunities, including new markets, new clients, new partnerships or new products and services
  • Creating strategies to successfully reach new business opportunities
  • Proactively build and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including private healthcare providers, hospitals, consultants, and insurance companies.
  • Leverage your existing business acumen to negotiate and secure high-value contracts and service agreements with new clients.
  • Establish and grow referral networks by engaging with GPs, consultants, rehabilitation centres, and private clinics.
  • Building relationships with new partners, gauging their needs and developing proposals to address these needs
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with prospective partners
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of business development activities to generate qualified leads and a good proportion of high lifetime value potential clients
  • Support the Operations Manager in managing, developing and administering the process of handling new enquiries and onboarding new clients to Draycott Nursing & Care
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to build and refine a marketing plan to drive business from new areas of the market – set commercial strategy with MD and senior leadership
  • Create sales forecasts and actively work towards reaching them.
  • Possessing a strong understanding of the company’s products, the competition in the industry and positioning
  • Conduct regular market research to identify new opportunities within the private home care and healthcare space.
  • Monitor competitive activity and assess Draycott’s position within the marketplace to make informed strategic decisions.
  • Provide data-driven insights and reports on business development performance, trends, and growth opportunities.
  • Represent Draycott Nursing & Care at industry events, conferences, and networking forums, positioning the company as a market leader in private home care.
  • Serve as an ambassador for Draycott’s premium services, presenting care solutions in client meetings, presentations, and proposals.
  • Work closely with senior management and operational teams to align business development goals with overall company objectives.
  • Maintain sound knowledge of relevant legislation and practice standards, ensuring that procedures remain compliant, and stakeholders are well informed where required
  • Reporting to the MD, you will contribute to the development and growth of business services partnering with key stakeholders at all levels across the business to deliver our strategic goals

Leadership responsibilities

  • Help grow the business by assisting in the development of our reporting, KPI’s and BI enabling the regular provision of commercial insights.
  • Attend and contribute to management meetings, as required and the preparation of reporting packs
  • Work within a culture and that embraces change with a determination to succeed
  • Provide support, guidance and commercial/financial insight to the management team
  • Develop a supportive and positive way of working which focuses on quality, safety, efficiency, compassion, and effectiveness
