This role focuses on identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, developing strong customer and partner relationships, and supporting the full sales lifecycle for state, local, national, and international government agencies and maritime operators. Working closely with the Business Development Team and aligned with the Chief Revenue & Customer Officer (CRCO), this role serves as the primary regional advocate for SAFE Boats’ products, capabilities, and brand—ensuring a consistent, professional, and mission-focused customer experience from initial engagement through contract award and post-delivery support.     What you will do (Essential Functions) 1. Business Development & Market Expansion * Develop and execute a regional business development plan to grow SAFE Boats’ footprint and revenue across EMEA. * Identify, qualify, and pursue new customer opportunities, including government agencies, maritime security forces, and public-safety operators. * Establish and manage strategic relationships with local representatives, agents, and partners to support market access and long-term growth. * Monitor regional market trends, competitor activity, and emerging requirements to inform strategy and opportunity pursuit. 2. Customer Engagement & Relationship Management * Serve as the primary regional point of contact for customer engagement, ensuring timely, professional, and mission-focused communication. * Build trusted, long-term relationships with decision-makers, operators, and technical stakeholders. * Support customer education on SAFE Boats’ platforms, capabilities, lifecycle support, and training offerings. 3. Sales Pipeline & Opportunity Management * Develop and manage a robust EMEA sales pipeline, tracking opportunities from early engagement through award. * Support proposal development, bid strategy, and pricing coordination in collaboration with sales engineering, marketing, and executive leadership. * Assist customers with procurement processes, grant programs, and funding pathways where applicable. 4. Cross-Functional Collaboration * Coordinate closely with Sales Engineering, Marketing, Customer Support, Training, and Operations to ensure accurate, consistent messaging and execution. * Provide structured market and customer feedback to inform product development, configuration strategy, and future offerings. * Support regional demonstrations, trade shows, industry events, and customer visits as required. 5. Reporting & Accountability * Maintain accurate opportunity and customer data within the CRM system. * Provide regular forecasts, activity reports, and regional insights to the CRCO. * Operate with a high degree of autonomy while maintaining alignment with SAFE Boats’ strategic priorities and values.     Required Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in business, government, international studies or a related field (or equivalent experience). * 7–10 years of experience in business development, sales, or market expansion within maritime, defense, public safety, or government-focused industries. * Demonstrated experience working across international markets, preferably within the EMEA region. * Strong understanding of government procurement processes, including foreign military sales, and relationship-driven sales cycles. * General understanding of ITAR and FCPA regulations. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to represent SAFE Boats professionally with senior-level stakeholders. * Ability to travel extensively within the EMEA region and internationally as required. * CRM proficiency and strong organizational skills. * Must be a U. S. citizen. Preferred Qualifications * Prior experience with patrol craft, workboats, or mission-specific maritime platforms. * Existing regional network of government, maritime security, or public-safety contacts. * Multilingual capability relevant to the EMEA region (e.g. Arabic).
