Description

Business Development Manager - Energy and Decarbonisation:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to lead our efforts in developing and securing energy and decarbonisation projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in both public sector grant schemes in the UK and private sector energy and performance contracting.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience equivalent to a Degree in Business, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in business development, with a focus on energy and decarbonisation preferably within the energy performance market.
  • Demonstrated experience with public sector grant schemes in the UK.
  • Proven track record in developing and securing energy and performance contracts in the private sector.
  • Strong understanding of energy markets, sustainability practices, and decarbonisation strategies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Can demonstrate experience in role with framework providers.
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Professional certifications related to energy management or sustainability.
  • Experience with project management software and CRM systems.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the energy and decarbonisation sector.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including public sector entities and private sector clients.
  • Lead the preparation and submission of grant applications for public sector funding.
  • Manage the entire business development process, from initial contact to contract negotiation and closure.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure project proposals meet client needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to inform strategic planning.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings.
