o Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and tender responses that clearly articulate our value proposition.
Skills & Experience:
o Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to penetrate new markets and accounts.
o Conduct in-depth needs analysis with prospective clients to understand their current fleet operations, pain points, electrification goals, and infrastructure requirements.
o Act as a trusted advisor, educating clients on EV technology, charging strategies, total cost of ownership (TCO) benefits, and relevant government incentives/regulations.
o Collaborate with internal technical, operations, and product teams to develop tailored, end-to-end EV solutions, including charging hardware, software platforms, installation services, and ongoing support.
o Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and tender responses that clearly articulate our value proposition.
o Manage the entire sales pipeline from lead generation to contract negotiation and closing.
o Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities and customer interactions within the CRM system.
o Forecast sales revenue and achieve/exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
o Facilitate smooth customer onboarding and handover to account management/operations teams post-sale.
o Stay abreast of the latest EV industry trends, technological advancements, competitor activities, and regulatory changes (e.g., ZEV mandate, government grants) affecting the UK fleet market.
o Provide market feedback to product development and marketing teams to inform future offerings and campaigns.
o Represent [Company Name] at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote our brand and solutions.
o Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers, fleet managers, procurement teams, and other stakeholders within target organisations.
o Collaborate effectively with internal teams (marketing, technical, operations, finance, legal) to ensure seamless project delivery and customer satisfaction.
Skills & Experience:
o Proven track record (3+ years) in B2B business development or sales, with demonstrable success in achieving and exceeding sales targets.
o Experience selling complex technical solutions or services, preferably within the automotive, energy, or technology sectors.
o Strong understanding of the fleet industry and its operational challenges.
o Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
o A proactive “hunter” mentality with strong lead generation capabilities and a self-starting attitude.
o Highly organised, with excellent time management and pipeline management skills.
o Proficient in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
o Full UK Driving License and willingness to travel extensively across the UK.
o Specific experience or strong knowledge of Electric Vehicles (EVs), EV charging infrastructure, and associated technologies.
o Familiarity with fleet management software, telematics, or energy management systems.
o Experience in bid and tender management, particularly for public sector opportunities.
o A technical background or aptitude for understanding electrical systems and infrastructure.
