Job Summary This role is responsible for growing First Title's consumer title insurance business across Queensland by building strong referral partnerships in the property, legal and lending ecosystem. The BDM will identify, engage and activate high-potential partners, educate the market on the value of title insurance, and convert relationships into sustainable referral and revenue growth. The role suits a proactive, commercially minded sales professional who can manage a territory, build trust quickly, and work collaboratively with internal teams. 1. Queensland Market Growth Build a focused South East Queensland territory plan and identify high-potential referral partner opportunities. Engage and convert prospects across property law, conveyancing, mortgage, insurance, real estate and related professional services. 2. Referral Partner Development Onboard and educate partners on First Title's products, referral pathways and support model. Deliver presentations and practical engagement activities that build partner confidence and referral activity. 3. Sales Pipeline and Reporting Maintain disciplined CRM, pipeline management, activity planning and regular reporting. Track progress from prospect to active referrer and use insight to prioritise next steps. 4. Account Growth and Market Engagement Manage new and developing partner accounts to strengthen engagement and referral consistency. Identify expansion opportunities across offices, teams and referral channels, and represent First Title at relevant events. 5. Collaboration and Commercial Judgement Work with internal stakeholders to support partners, resolve issues and improve sales enablement. Share market feedback and prioritise activity toward commercially attractive, compliant opportunities. Teamwork and Behaviour Work collaboratively with colleagues and internal teams to achieve shared goals. Take ownership of performance, development, follow-through and continuous improvement. Complete mandatory training and ensure interactions reflect the Group's values. What a Successful BDM Looks Like Proactively owns the Queensland territory and creates new partner opportunities. Builds credibility quickly with property, legal, lending and referral partner audiences. Balances new business acquisition with partner activation and ongoing engagement. Maintains strong pipeline discipline, follow-up and sales reporting. Focuses time on sustainable referral volume and commercial value. Key Success Measures New referral partners identified, won, onboarded and activated. Growth in referral activity, policy volume, revenue and contribution. Pipeline quality, conversion rates, sales activity and CRM discipline. Partner engagement, retention, expansion and market feedback quality. Requirements Essential: 2-5 years' business development, partnership/referral sales or account growth experience, ideally within property, legal, conveyancing, mortgage, insurance, financial services or professional services. Proactive hunter mindset with demonstrated ability to prospect, build trust and convert new referral relationships autonomously. Understanding of the residential property ecosystem, or ability to quickly build credibility in this market. Strong communication, presentation and consultative selling capability. Disciplined approach to CRM, pipeline management, territory planning and sales reporting. Commercial judgement, resilience, organisation and ability to work independently while collaborating effectively. Willingness and ability to travel as required. Desirable: Experience in title insurance, property law, conveyancing, mortgage broking, real estate, banking or professional services. Existing relationships within the property, legal, lending or referral partner market. Tertiary qualifications in business, law, property, conveyancing or a related discipline. Experience delivering partner education, presentations, events or referral activation programs.
