Job Description As a Business Development Manager, you embody IKEA values and are passionate about cultivating both people and business development. Responsibilities Elevate supplier partnerships and advance our supplier landscape to meet the evolving needs of many people today and in the future. Set strategic business directions through clear Action Plans, optimizing supplier performance to deliver on Category Plans. Enhance the end-to-end value chain, crafting improved products at competitive costs, broadening our reach to more customers. Lead compliance with relevant industry regulations and working methods. Establish and oversee cost budgets, ensuring optimal use of resources to support ambitious business objectives. Act as One IKEA across all core processes, aligning with relevant partnerships and functions. Contribute proactively to the Category Management Team’s future strategy and development of Category Plans. Lead an inspiring team of professionals with diverse backgrounds in Kina, Japan, and additional Asian markets, fostering a collaborative environment where individuals exceed their potential. Oversee the competence agenda, recruitment, development, performance management, and succession planning. Motivate, mentor, and coach your team, establishing a conducive environment for success in an ever-evolving business landscape. Champion the IKEA culture and values as a daily reality, modeling collaboration, togetherness, and effective change management for fact-based business leadership. This role requires international business acumen and strong communication skills in an international business context.
