Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen with our client, for a Business Development Manager - for an exciting SaaS Technology company in South Wales.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

We’re looking for a commercially driven Business Development Manager with a SaaS sales background to grow the company’s B2B sales function. You’ll help deliver he go-to-market strategy, generate revenue, and lay the foundation for long-term success.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • B2B sales experience in SaaS, tech or similar
  • Experience delivering rapid growth in a new/emerging product
  • Ownership of full sales cycle
  • Familiarity with SME buying behaviours
  • Strong communicator—especially with non-technical buyers
  • Self-starter who thrives on pace, targets, and autonomy
  • CRM savvy (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.)
  • Plenty of contacts and great knowledge of the UK SME landscape and associated challenges
  • Full driving license and access to your own vehicle

DESIRABLE (BUT NOT ESSENTIAL) REQUIREMENTS:

  • HR tech sales experience
  • Experience working with HR, People and senior decision-makers
  • Background in startup or scale-up environments
  • Ability to build outbound campaigns and sales collateral
  • Experience with partner/channel-led sales
  • Data-led sales approach (A/B testing, pipeline analysis)
  • Welsh speaker
Responsibilities
  • Prospect, engage, and convert SME clients (50–250 employees).
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from discovery to deal close.
  • Clearly communicate the benefits of a digital solution.
  • Work closely with marketing to refine messaging and lead flow.
  • Build pipeline, report on performance, and adapt fast.
  • Use HubSpot CRM effectively for goal and pipeline management, reporting, and sales workflow optimisation.
  • Represent the company externally, attending events, conferences, and strategic partner meetings to build brand visibility and influence.
  • Work with clients to identify their needs & requirements, recognising opportunities for further account growth.
