Responsibilities

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement strategies to drive customer acquisition and retention for digital banking products and services
  • Adapt global strategies to fit local market conditions and regulatory requirements
  • Position Western Union Digital Bank as the best solution for senders and receivers of money transfers and the best bank account for immigrants and unbanked.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the local branch (regulated entity), ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintaining operational integrity.
  • Contribute to, review, and agree on country P&L forecasts, ensuring the achievement of local P&L targets through cross-functional efforts

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • 7 + years of professional experience including retail banking or fintech experience covering strategic planning, business development and market expansion
  • Deep understanding of the local market, digital banking competition and overall digital solutions on the market
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field, MBA preferred
  • Fluency in German and English is required
  • Hands-on mentality, with a natural aptitude to manage competing priorities
  • Willing to travel up to 20% of the time
