ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven managerial experience with a track record of driving business growth.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a legal team.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • A pragmatic, client-focused approach with the ability to handle complaints effectively.
  • Analytical skills to interpret financial data and report on profitability.
  • Minimum of an LLB degree (LPC/SQE not required).
  • Legal practice background is essential, though you do not need to be a qualified solicitor.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

This is a unique, dual-focus leadership role combining legal management with strategic business development.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Overseeing the legal team to ensure exceptional client care and efficient case management.
  • Conducting monthly one-to-ones with staff, monitoring performance, and driving individual and team improvement.
  • Handling and resolving client complaints with professionalism and sensitivity.
  • Assisting in the recruitment, onboarding, and expansion of the legal team.
  • Reviewing financial reports and billing data, identifying areas for efficiency and profitability.
  • Working closely with the Director to develop growth strategies, monitor monthly takings, and maximise firm performance.
  • Providing insight, solutions, and business development initiatives to maintain M.A.J Law’s position as the leading motoring defence practice in the UK.
