ABOUT FOODSHIP

Foodship is an Australian-based hospitality technology company helping restaurants modernize operations, reduce labour costs, and grow revenue — all without paying third-party commissions. Our all-in-one solution includes POS systems, Online ordering, QR code table ordering, Self-ordering kiosks, kitchen displays. With an increasing number of venues joining us each month, we’re growing fast and looking for driven people to join our team and help expand our customer base.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Business Development Manager, your core responsibility is to identify, engage, and close new restaurant clients. You will be on the frontline — showcasing how Foodship can simplify operations and improve profitability for hospitality venues across Australia.
You’ll generate your own leads through research, cold calling, networking, and onsite visits, and you’ll manage the full sales process: from first contact to onboarding handover.
This role also includes hardware sales such as receipt printers and POS terminals, which complement our software solutions.
This is a golden opportunity for a strong salesperson. The hospitality tech market is growing rapidly, yet it remains under-served and far from saturated. There are very few roles like this available, and the potential to carve out success and earn well is significant for the right person.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Research and identify new restaurant prospects using online tools, local market knowledge, and social media
  • Cold call, email, and network to build your own lead pipeline
  • Conduct onsite visits and live product demos (training provided)
  • Explain the benefits of Foodship’s software and hardware clearly to owners and managers
  • Close deals and hand over to the onboarding team for setup and support
  • Sell hardware (e.g. POS printers, kiosks, POS terminals) alongside software
  • Maintain daily reporting on activity and sales progress
  • Stay informed about the hospitality industry and Foodship’s evolving features
  • Build strong relationships that generate long-term customers and referrals
