Responsibilities

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintaining, planning and development of key customer relationships within the Climate market which includes adiabatic and isothermal humidification and commercial adiabatic cooling.
This will include achieving sales targets, (within company sales policies) brand and product promotion, technical leadership and overall sales and product management within the climate category. Manage and lead the technical sales approach for the Climate product range across all markets.
This involves strongly supporting (technical and commercial) in a partnership approach our channel distributors as well as the end user engagement specification strategy.
In the refrigeration market the role is to support the ref sales team to achieve their targets for CAREL’s humidifier platforms.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, maintain and deliver an end user engagement program for HVAC product
  • Actively seek out new and developing market opportunities
  • Active in-field customer visits
  • Brand development activities and assist & work with NSM –Indoor Air Quality for business growth
  • Product selection and quotation for application
  • Maintain and develop existing customers and including identification and development of new customers / business
  • Active engagement with consulting engineers – ensuring a “ pull” effect is developed for the business
  • Ability to demonstrate and assist with technical problem solving “ on site” as required, including the expectation to become a technical leader within the HVAC product range
  • Ability to work with the concept of selling by value
  • Monthly sales and customer reporting including continuous CRM updates
  • Sales projects management skills – ability to manage long lead time sales cycles
  • Product management – local subject matter expertise, managing product portfolio / product lifecycle, water mark compliance etc.
    Base Salary: 78,000 AUD Yearly

NECESSARY SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES FOR THIS ROLE:

  • Technical knowledge – psychometrics and /or HVAC knowledge highly valued
  • Degree/diploma – Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Trade Qualification or similar
  • Multi- level customer relations management skills / experience
  • Industry sales / technical experience for 5+ years within the HVAC&R field
  • Sales and commercial experience at a minimum account level – key account level highly valued.
  • Sales & brand promotion skills – including exhibitions, seminars and presentations.
  • Business acumen including basic financial awareness, commercial sales processes and essential business tools as example MS Office™
  • Self-managing, performance driven and ability to “close the sale”
