Description

Job Description
We are looking for a technically strong business developer to operate in a customer facing role focused on project opportunities within the Chemical, Process & Industrial (CPI) markets for the Americas region.
To drive this growth opportunity, we are looking for a Business Development Manager who will focus on exponentially growing Rotork’s business in the Americas’ CPI segments, such as in HVAC and data center cooling. This role is both a strategic and proactive one, collaborating closely with all Rotork stakeholders to achieve sales growth, whilst positioning Rotork as the preferred choice for flow control solutions in these market segments.
The Business Development Manager will play a key role in identifying and pro-actively pursuing new projects at the feasibility and design stage, to enable Rotork to promote and influence end user and EPC specifications. The role will involve identifying project opportunities, in close co-operation with strategic management, to develop successful front-end to execution strategies. They will also engage with and influence critical parts of the respective CPI segment value-chains, including Valve/Damper OEMs, General/Mechanical Contractors, EPCs and End Users.

Responsibilities
  • Developing and implementing effective Americas CPI target segment growth strategies
  • Delivering strategic direction and cascade strategic initiatives for the commercialization of Rotork’s electric actuation, gears and instrumentation opportunities in the CPI segments in the Americas region
  • Communicating with a broad range of knowledge with clients’ engineers, operations, and management teams at all levels.
  • Working with Engineering teams to build product roadmap and new product delivery based on customer feedback from all parts of the CPI value-chain
  • New product introduction, campaign and event management where required
  • Contributing to price planning as appropriate to CPI sub-segments
  • Identification, initiation, and development of key CPI accounts to increase sales, market penetration and positioning of Rotork solutions
  • Influencing design specifications by leveraging value proposition of Rotork electric actuation, gears and instrumentation
  • Actively engaging with local and regional sales teams, and external stakeholders to ensure accurate competitive market intelligence
  • Analysing market dynamics, articulate a growth “go to market” plan, and develop the plan ensuring key internal stakeholder engagement and program management competence.
  • Working with Senior Sales Manager across the Americas CPI team, to coordinate sales call efforts with OEMs, contractors, EPCs, consultants, channel partners and end-users
