As the Business Development Manager for the Industry sector in Saudi Arabia, you will spearhead our efforts to deepen Thermo Fisher Scientific’s engagement with key industrial markets, including oil & gas, clean energy, mining, and heavy industries like steel or cement manufacturing. Your strategic vision and execution will drive growth and fortify our position in these critical sectors.
Role Overview: Your primary role will be to develop and implement business growth strategies across various industrial segments in Saudi Arabia. By leveraging Thermo Fisher Scientific’s robust product and service portfolio, you will address the unique challenges and opportunities within the region’s industrial sectors, driving sales and fostering long-term client relationships.

In this role, based in Saudi Arabia, your primary responsibilities will include:
Partnership and Relationship Building: Forge and cultivate lasting relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and customers within the industry, becoming a trusted advisor and go-to solution provider.
Collaboration and Alignment: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, marketing, and sales, to ensure product and service offerings are finely tuned to industry needs and market demands.
Sales and Negotiation: Drive the sales process from opportunity identification through to negotiation and closure, achieving and surpassing sales targets.
Sustainability and Innovation Advocacy: Champion sustainability and innovation within the targeted industries, promoting solutions that not only meet current needs but also pave the way for future advancements.
Strategic Market Development: Create and execute a comprehensive market development plan that aligns with the unique demands of Saudi Arabia’s industrial sectors.
Customer Relationship Management: Cultivate and manage relationships with key stakeholders in industries such as oil & gas, clean energy, mining, and heavy manufacturing.
Industry-Specific Solutions: Tailor Thermo Fisher Scientific’s offerings to meet the needs of the industrial sector, enhancing customer satisfaction and retention.
Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and customer needs within Saudi Arabia’s industrial sectors.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or related fields, with preference given to those holding advanced degrees.
Good knowledge of analytical instrumentation used for testing in the industry sectors.
At least 5 years of proven experience in business development or sales within the industrial sectors identified, specifically within the Saudi Arabian market.
Proven track record of developing and growing business in complex and competitive environments, with a deep understanding of the industry landscape.
Strong understanding of the industrial landscape in Saudi Arabia, including regulatory and economic drivers.
Demonstrated success in meeting sales targets and driving business growth.
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, capable of effectively engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Strategic thinker with a robust analytical skill set, capable of translating market insights into actionable growth strategies.
Fluent in both Arabic and English, with a keen ability to navigate multicultural environments and build cross-border relationships.
