QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
· Bachelor’s or MSc in a life sciences discipline (biology, chemistry, biomedicine, etc.) or equivalent.
· Minimum of 5 years’ experience within or collaborating with biotech, pharma, medtech, with a strong business development focus.
· Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills; ability to express complex technical and business concepts clearly.
· Stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
· Proactive, self-driven, and capable of thriving in a dynamic SME environment.

ROLE OVERVIEW:
The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving growth and expanding the client base within the life sciences sector for Innopharma. The ideal candidate will combine sector expertise, technical acumen, and proven sales experience to identify new business opportunities, build strategic relationships, and deliver bespoke solutions for customers in biotech, pharma, medtech, and research institutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Develop and execute a business development strategy to drive growth across targeted sectors
· Lead generation and relationship development with Life Sciences companies throughout Ireland.
· Act as a trusted advisor by supporting companies in providing expert advice on Innopharma work force solutions and training provision.
· Collaborate with the technical and recruitment teams to shape service offerings aligned with client requirements.
· Track and support ongoing contracts, seeking opportunities for upsell or renewal.
· Represent Innopharma at industry events, conferences, and client meetings
· Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to identify opportunities.
· Report out to the Innopharma leadership team on sales performance, forecasting, and business development activities.
