Description:

Johnson Service Group (JSG) is looking for a Business Development Manager to join our growing IT Staffing team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a new client portfolio from scratch—identifying, developing, and nurturing relationships with organizations seeking top IT talent. You will collaborate closely with our recruiting team to ensure we deliver on client needs, while driving revenue and fostering long-term client partnerships.

JSG’s Business Development Managers are compensated with base, plus uncapped commission!
Key Responsibilities
1. New Client Acquisition & Prospecting
o Identify and engage potential clients in need of IT staffing solutions through cold calls, networking events, social platforms, referrals, and industry contacts.
o Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline by researching target markets, companies, and key decision-makers.
2. Consultative Sales & Relationship Building
o Conduct in-depth discovery to understand client IT staffing needs, pain points, and business objectives.
o Position JSG’s full range of staffing solutions (Contract/Temp, Direct Hire, Managed Services, RPO, etc.) to address client challenges effectively.
3. Contract Negotiation & Pricing
o Work closely with decision-makers to formulate and finalize service-level agreements (SLAs), pricing models, and contract terms.
o Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on rates, margins, and candidate quality expectations.
4. Collaboration with Recruiting Teams
o Partner with JSG’s dedicated recruiting professionals to ensure a seamless client experience from job order intake through candidate placement.
o Provide recruiters with detailed client insights, job requirements, and feedback to optimize candidate submittals.
5. Account Management & Growth
o Serve as the primary point of contact for new, ensuring satisfaction and building trust.
o Strategically expand accounts by uncovering additional business opportunities and offering value-added services.
6. Sales Reporting & ATS Management
o Maintain accurate client data, activity logs, and opportunity stages in our Applicant Tracking System and CRM.
o Provide regular updates on pipeline progress, closed deals, and potential revenue forecasts to management
Qualifications
· 4+ years of experience in IT staffing or technical staffing.
· Proven track record of building new business from scratch, establishing relationships, and successfully moving accounts through the sales funnel.
· Demonstrated experience selling to Medium and Large sized businesses.
· Experience selling to Fortune 500 organizations is a plus.
· Strong consultative sales approach and ability to effectively articulate complex staffing solutions to senior-level decision-makers.
· Self-driven and disciplined in managing prospecting activities, sales pipelines, and follow-through.
· Familiarity with CRM, VMS, and ATS systems.
· Excellent communication and negotiation skills; ability to present confidently and persuasively.
· Knowledge of IT disciplines (software development, infrastructure, project management, business analysis and intelligence, data, cybersecurity)
