Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Business Development Strategist, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of Kaliber. This hybrid role involves managing the existing SME client base while also driving business development to acquire new SME clients. This position requires strong client relationship skills, the ability to build trust rapidly, excellent communication, and advanced project/time management professional to identify new business opportunities, develop client relationships, and support our revenue growth initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Development (40%)

  • Identify and generate new business opportunities through networking, market research, and relationship building with potential clients.
  • Develop and execute outreach plans to establish connections, foster relationships, and expand Kaliber’s client base.
  • Maintain a pipeline of prospective clients, track progress, and follow up to convert leads into long-term partnerships.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to create compelling proposals and pitch presentations tailored to client needs.

Client Relationship Management (40%)

  • Collaborate with leadership to align business objectives with long-term strategic goals.
  • Work with leadership to systematise the business development processes to scale SME clients.
  • Regularly assess and refine Kaliber’s go-to-market strategy based on client feedback, industry trends, and competitor activity.
  • Leverage technology and tools to enhance efficiency in SME client delivery, including automating reporting, client updates, and communications.

Leadership and Strategy (20%)

  • Build, maintain, and strengthen client relationships to ensure satisfaction, retention, and growth of existing accounts.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for clients, understanding their needs and proactively addressing issues.
  • Present regular performance updates, strategic insights, and recommendations to clients, ensuring clear communication and alignment with business goals.

The minimum qualifications for this role include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in business development, sales, or a similar strategic role in a digital marketing or agency environment.
  • Proven track record of driving business growth and managing client relationships in a B2B setting

Preferred qualifications for this role include:

  • Proven experience with Project Management software (bonus points if you’re a ClickUp pro!)
  • Exceptional written, spoken, and presentation skills that bring clarity and excitement to your ideas
  • Ready to bring your A-game and collaborate with stakeholders from across the boar
