Description Position Summary: Foster and develop primarily new, large scale business opportunities within an assigned account base while managing and growing existing accounts. Business Development role requires strong client development skills, business acumen, and the ability to manage multiple projects and customers (both internal and external) on a sustained basis. Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities: Develop maximum sales potential out of account base through knowledge of the industry and KRS’s value proposition. Build and maintain quality relationships with existing assigned accounts, and consistently increase account base and sales volume. Make prospecting a part of the regular routine ensuring that new prospects are added to the pipeline on a consistent basis. Manage complex sales with a 3 month to 12 month purchasing cycle. Move the sale through the entire process ending after the transition to Sales Support. Stay abreast of market conditions regarding products, product updates, service offerings, new technologies and competition through available resources. Provide weekly reporting of pipeline, forecast and activity using the SalesForce.com tool. Provide company and product information to customers as requested. Understand and support established sales policies and procedures to provide proper and effective treatment to customers. Resolve customer concerns in an expeditious and tactful manner. Attend and participate in sales meetings, conferences and trade shows Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned. Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
