Description
As the Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our EU growth strategy. You will lead initiatives to identify emerging opportunities, build influential relationships, and drive market expansion. Through strategic analysis and collaboration, you will help position the company for sustainable success in a competitive landscape. Key Responsibilities Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and strategic collaborations across both public and private sectors. Develop and execute go-to-market strategies, including proposals, pitches, and tenders. Manage the sales pipeline and track performance against targets. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform business strategy. Represent the company at industry events, meetings, and stakeholder briefings. Monitor relevant policy developments, regulatory changes, and public sector trends that may impact the business. Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, policymakers, and other key stakeholders. Help shape our external messaging on policy-related matters in alignment with business goals. Coordinate with internal teams to ensure compliance and strategic alignment with regulatory requirements. Master's degree in Public Affairs, Economics, Political Science, Business Administration, or related field. Proven track record of success in business development, extending strategic partnerships or solution-oriented sales roles A solid understanding of government processes, public policy frameworks, and regulatory environments, particularly within the EU (or Dutch) context. Established network of contacts across relevant industry sectors, government bodies, and policy circles. Familiarity with Dutch funding programs and tenders. Skills & Abilities Required Excellent communication and relationship-building skills - you're comfortable engaging with both commercial partners and government stakeholders. Demonstrated capability to develop strategic recommendations and provide informed advice to Business Management to support key decision-making. Strong ability to synthesize complex topics into clear, compelling narratives and presentations tailored to diverse audiences, including C-level executives. Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across internal teams and functions to achieve shared goals. Strong presentation and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence senior decision-makers.
