Laois Hire is a leading plant and tool hire company in Ireland that provide a comprehensive range of services from tool and plant machinery to highly specialised equipment.
We have an exciting new opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven Business Development Manager to join our successful sales team in Dublin.

Responsibilities:

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL BE:

  • Advancing the sales of plant and vehicle hire services in the relevant geographical territory.
  • Identifying possible new leads for sales, establishing, and maintaining relationships with potential clients.
  • Conducting business development cold calling, arranging customer visits, and following up with marketing.
  • Generating new business opportunities and developing new accounts to maximise sales levels.
  • Maintaining and growing existing key accounts and ensuring customer retention is achieved and developed.
  • Identifying opportunities by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with internal teams.
  • Aligning knowledge gained from the local and national market to support the company and its customers.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders to ensure that the company is providing the appropriate range and quality of products and services.

WHAT WILL HELP YOU TO EXCEL IN THIS ROLE:

  • Previous field sales experience ideally within plant and tool hire, material handling, logistics, warehousing, or construction.
  • Ability to engage with customers and have excellent communication skills.
  • Demonstrable experience of organising and prioritising a demanding workload.
  • Proven record in a problem-solving role.
  • Full, clean driving licence with a willingness to travel.
