Laois Hire is a leading plant and tool hire company in Ireland that provide a comprehensive range of services from tool and plant machinery to highly specialised equipment.
We have an exciting new opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Business Development Manager to join our dynamic and supportive sales team in Dublin.

Responsibilities

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL BE:

  • Advancing the sales of plant and vehicle hire services in the relevant geographical territory.
  • Identifying possible new leads for sales, establishing, and maintaining relationships with potential clients.
  • Conducting business development cold calling, arranging customer visits, and following up with marketing.
  • Generating new business opportunities and developing new accounts to maximise sales levels.
  • Maintaining and growing existing key accounts and ensuring customer retention is achieved and developed.
  • Identifying opportunities by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with internal teams.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders to ensure that the business is providing the appropriate range and quality of products and services.

WHAT WILL HELP YOU TO EXCEL IN THIS ROLE:

  • Previous field sales experience ideally within plant and tool hire, material handling, logistics, warehousing, or construction.
  • Local market knowledge is preferred however not essential.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with customers.
  • Demonstrable experience of organising and prioritising a demanding workload.
  • Proven record in a problem-solving role.
  • Full, clean driving licence with a willingness to travel.
