JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced, results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. This person is responsible for creating and executing a regional sales plan to drive profitable growth in the Multi-Family, Single-Family and Restoration/Remodel segments. They will lead a team of sales reps to execute their plan to deliver the desired results and become the preferred supplier in our categories. In this role, this leader will build strong relationships with our key customers and be the primary leadership representative to support decision making needed to deliver results.

CRITICAL FUNCTIONAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

  • Working knowledge of Legacy’s business processes
  • Expert level in product and application knowledge within relevant categories
  • Competency in the full range of product categories to identify leads and create cross-selling opportunities
  • Proficiency in CRM, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong market knowledge
  • Strong technical ability
  • Strong knowledge of multi-stage selling processes
  • Strong presentation and communications skills, ability to communicate to all levels within accounts
  • Strong negotiations skills
  • Highly proficient data management and analytics

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • 5-10 years’ experience in sales and sales team management required
  • BS in Business Admin or other applicable degree preferred
  • Experience working in analytics-based sales organizations

Responsibilities

Sales and Profitability Growth (70%)

  • Create and execute a sales plan to target segments, channels and dealers
  • Build out a high performing dealer network to serve Multi-Family, Single-Family and Restoration/Remodel segments in the markets we play in.
  • Use the Legacy sales processes and tools to drive the Business Planning Process.
  • Working closely with key end users and influencers in the region to drive preference and loyalty for Legacy’s products.
  • Work in collaboration with the Legacy Key Account Manager to align field sales plans and support to drive growth with our large channel partners.
  • Identifying the needs of field sales reps and helping to find solutions to dealers’ needs to serve our segments.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with internal and external customers
  • Maintain consistent ride-along with field sales reps to drive sales growth

Business Management (20%)

  • Responsible for maintaining and monitoring budget
  • Responsible for forecasting product categories within region
  • Responsible for presenting quarterly regional business reviews
  • Conducting business review meetings with decision makers of identified major customers
  • Conducting competitive analysis of market conditions annually
  • Providing input for Marketing/Sales promotions
  • Recommending the addition, deletion or improvement of products and services

Administrative (10%)

  • Maintain individual CRM and monitor direct reports CRM usage
  • Approving direct reports’ expense reporting in a timely fashion
  • Managing the lifecycle of showroom displays and samples for your region
  • Communicating with various internal departments as necessary
  • Monitoring your region’s monthly expenses compared to budgets
  • Providing updates and graded KPIs to manager and direct reports daily, monthly, quarterly
  • Submitting personal travel expenses in a timely fashion
