Responsible for growing the Food Service channel within a defined territory by managing and developing strategic customer accounts, maximising all sales opportunities.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

  • Previous Experience in the food services channel.
  • Target driven, demonstrates the ability to develop sound business plans to maximise sales and margin and develop new business where appropriate.
  • Highly detailed planning ability to ensure effective implementation of product ranges to ensure extensive business growth and longer term objectives are achieved.
  • Effective communication skills both verbally and written allowing the individual to interact at all levels internally and external to the company.
  • Ability to negotiate and influence, has strong interpersonal skills.
  • Cost management and category expertise.
  • A strategic thinker, demonstrates effective change management skills.
  • Presentation skills ability to develop powerful presentations containing relevant and up to date information in a creative way.
  • Demonstrates a good understanding of the table top industry, current trends and market awareness
  • Ability to raw sales data and use this to identify gap analysis, potential areas for growth within customer base and business peak & troughs

TECHNICAL / FUNCTIONAL SKILLS

  • Educated to degree level (or qualified through experience) with extensive sales experience within a business to business environment
  • A good level of PC skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Power Point, Word and Excel

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Some degree of UK & overseas travel/stays will be required
  • UK driving licence
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: £40,000.00-£42,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Assisting in the preparation of budgets, sales and profit targets.
  • Generating leads and identifying new opportunities/customers.
  • Managing and developing exiting regional distributors and end users on territory.
  • Supporting major distributor sales teams.
  • Meeting or exceeding sales and profitability targets.
  • Maintain and grow current customer margins.
  • Negotiating pricing within agreed margin targets.
  • Building and maintaining strong and collaborative customer relationships, ensuring high levels of customer service are provided.
  • Preparing weekly and monthly reports.
  • Giving sales presentations to a range of existing and prospective customers.
  • Encouraging customers to the showroom.
  • Coordinating sales efforts with marketing programmes.
  • Visiting existing and potential customers to evaluate needs and/or promote products and services.
  • Answering customer questions on products, prices and availability.
  • Providing product and service training to end users and distributor sales teams.
  • Attending all relevant trade shows.
