Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

As a Business Development Manager at Guardian, you will play a pivotal role in driving our growth. Your entrepreneurial spirit and can-do attitude will be vital for building strong stakeholder relationships as you will be working with a network of medium and large partners, attending both virtual and in-person events / meetings to cultivate strong relationships with paraplanners, administrators, and advisers and promoting Guardian’s brand, values and products, by giving engaging presentations with the aim of enhancing awareness, interest and business opportunities within the Life and Health Protection insurance industry.

BRIEF OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE:

In this role, you will drive new and incremental premium income to Guardian by attending adviser meetings both virtually and in person. Your focus will be on business development and commercial activities, including high-volume outbound calls and client meetings to meet sales targets and collaborating with your colleagues across all departments within Guardian to enhance customer experiences and continual development of the Guardian brand.
You will also be working alongside our Sales Management, Risk, and Compliance teams to manage, identify, mitigate, and document distribution risks and ensure any necessary actions are in alignment with Guardian’s processes and procedures. Using your knowledge of Guardian products and the protection market to monitor trends, threats, and opportunities within the wider Life and Health Protection insurance industry, your proactive approach will support Guardian’s proposition development and market positioning.
