Description
The Role Lyrebird is growing rapidly, and we’re looking for a Business Development Manager to guide new clinicians and practice teams from first conversation through to signed agreement and confident, active use of the product. This is a commercial, relationship-led role that blends sales execution with deep product fluency. You’ll own the early revenue motion — running consult-style demos, progressing opportunities through the funnel, and ensuring clinics reach value fast by addressing their main pain points first using Lyrebird’s most impactful workflows and features. Your success will be measured by conversion, activation/adoption, and long-term value. About us Lyrebird Health is transforming the quality and accessibility of healthcare by automating clinicians' most time consuming tasks. Thousands of clinicians use Lyrebird across many disciplines — and this number is increasing every day. These clinicians trust us to deliver a fast, reliable, and secure experience, and we value this more than anything. We want to earn trust while continuing to amaze our users. \n About you You care deeply about people and enjoy influencing decisions and closing deals. Supporting clinicians, solving problems, and making someone’s day easier genuinely energises you — and you’re comfortable asking for commitment when the time is right. You build trust quickly with senior, time-poor stakeholders (warm, respectful, concise). Experience in sales, business development, or revenue-focused customer roles (ideally SaaS, healthtech, or complex services). Strong communicator: clear on calls, confident in demos, effective in objection handling and follow-up. Able to manage high-volume inbound interest while prioritising high-impact opportunities. Naturally curious and able to become highly fluent in a product quickly. You connect customer problems to commercial outcomes. Positive, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-growing, evolving environment. Own inbound opportunities from first contact through to close. Qualify opportunities, understand buying motivations, and progress deals with intent and structure. Handle objections confidently, follow up with clarity, and ask for commitment when the time is right. Maintain accurate pipeline visibility and communicate progress clearly to leadership. Guide clinicians through Lyrebird with clear, confident demos tailored to their workflow. Identify a clinic’s primary pain points early (documentation, letters/forms, after-hours admin, workflow friction) and prioritise the workflows that create the fastest “aha” moment. Support onboarding and early activation so new customers reach meaningful usage quickly. Ensure the first 30–60 days are exceptional by removing friction and supporting confident use. Monitor early usage signals and step in when support, education, or guidance is needed. Expand within and across practices — cross-selling and up-selling where there is genuine value. Collect feedback from clinicians and share insights with Product, Support, and Operations. Ensure a premium experience for every new practice engaging with Lyrebird. \n At Lyrebird, we don’t just write code — you’ll help shape the future of the human experience. If you want to pioneer, to create, and to see your work touch lives directly, we’d love to hear from you. We’re building a team that reflects the diversity of the people who’ll benefit from our work. We want Lyrebird to be a place where everyone feels safe, supported, and able to thrive. If you’re from an underrepresented background in tech, we especially encourage you to apply — even if you don’t meet every single requirement.
