Description

We are looking for a strategic and results-driven Business Development Manager to help lead our clients business development initiatives and drive growth. This role requires a visionary with extensive experience in strategic planning, client management, and revenue generation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new market opportunities, developing relationships with key stakeholders, and executing the overall business development strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Propel revenue growth by uncovering new opportunities for our flood-risk products and services, both directly and through strategic partnerships.
- Collaborate with colleagues and directors to ensure ongoing revenue growth and position our company as a top provider of flood risk intelligence.
- Create and maintain a strong sales pipeline to support continuous revenue increases.
- Clearly convey the advantages of our products and services to potential and current clients through engaging sales presentations and comprehensive proposals.
- Partner with the Customer Success and Product Development teams to share client feedback and shape future product offerings.
- Cultivate and maintain effective internal and external relationships to promote teamwork and communication.
Required Experience & Skills:
- Solid background in selling data (ideally geospatial data) or software to financial market clients in areas such as asset management, lending, investment, and data analytics.
- Proven history of meeting sales targets and effectively managing client relationships, with a minimum of 4 years of experience.
- Demonstrated capability to implement event plans for high-profile seminars and conferences.
- Strong knowledge of financial models, market dynamics, and regulatory landscapes.
- Clear understanding of financial software and climate-risk platforms pertinent to asset management, lending, and investment analytics.
- Ability to articulate complex climate change topics effectively to diverse audiences.
- Experience in preparing and overseeing large contract negotiations and formulating pricing strategies, including the creation of detailed cost models and professional proposals.
- Familiarity with Salesforce and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as business, finance and geography. A postgraduate qualification or certification in sustainability, risk management, or ESG would be a plus.
