Job Responsibilities:

  • Accountable and responsible to establish new customer liaison and maintain existing customer liaison to secure new business
  • Liaise with Cosma Corporate Sales to improve customer acquisition and retention
  • Ensure to meet and exceed customer and divisional expectations
  • Customer negotiations and decisions making for the division based on IRR, ROI, risk and cost/benefits
  • Responsible for new business quotes by leveraging departmental expertise (Engineering, Finance, Purchasing, etc.)
  • Responsible to monitor and verify costs, timing and planning of new business including preproduction orders
  • Responsible for Budget Management and verifying cost to target
  • Manage commercial issues with the customer including terms and conditions of contracts, legal implications and risk assessments
  • Ensure customer system requirements are met and intercompany personnel is trained
  • Support and develop a divisional long term business plan with Senior Management by utilizing and analyzing internal and external data
  • Assist the need of global procurement for capital, tooling and other program specific components
  • Negotiate favorable contracts in cooperation with Purchasing to meet budget and customer requirements
  • Establish capacity utilization targets
  • Develop, lead and motivate department staff
  • Observes and enforces ISO 14001 and Health & Safety policies
  • Corrects unsafe acts and conditions on a timely basis
  • Corrects and commends environmental, health and safety performance of employees on a routine basis and in Performance Appraisals
  • Trains new employees and retrains employees as required
  • Ensures the department is kept clean, orderly and safe at all times
  • Be familiar with and follow all regulatory compliance with Magna, Local, State and Federal Legislations including OSHA and ANSI standards.
  • Inform the appropriate people of non-conformance situations.
  • Participate in the formal evaluation process.
  • Attend regular management meetings where health and safety is a significant part of the agenda.
  • Wear required PPE such as safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes, gloves, aprons, respirators and head protection.
