Responsibilities

OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving growth and profitability of the store by identifying new business opportunities, strengthening customer relationships, and expanding market reach. The role focuses on increasing sales, developing partnerships, and implementing strategies that enhance the store’s competitive position. This includes analyzing market trends, improving customer acquisition and retention, and ensuring the store meets its revenue targets while maintaining a strong brand presence.
Reports to: Director

SPECIFIC MAIN DUTIES

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to increase store revenue and customer base.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, suppliers, and partners.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth and achieve monthly and annual targets.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to create effective business plans.
  • Oversee promotional campaigns, partnerships, and events to boost brand visibility and store traffic.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and agreements with vendors and partners to maximize profitability.
  • Work closely with the store management team to improve customer experience and service quality.
  • Monitor sales performance and prepare regular reports for management review.
  • Train and guide staff on sales techniques, customer engagement, and upselling strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical business practices.
