Description

McCabe Promotional Advertising is one of Canada’s largest (and many say the country’s funnest) branded merchandise agencies. With offices in London and Ottawa, we source, design, and deliver merchandise ideas for some of the country’s coolest brands. We tailor solutions for people who work with us and help them drive awareness, engagement, and loyalty for their brands.
Founded in 1981, we’ve got the wisdom of a company with a rich history but a pulse on what’s fresh and exciting. We know what gets people talking, what earns a positive reaction, and what delivers real results. We proudly became officially B Corp Certified in 2019 and truly believe that little by little, we can create meaningful connections using branded merchandise. We are passionate about how to BE AWESOME and we want our people, our vendor partners, and our clients to feel that same passion.
We’re looking for an awesome person to join our amazing team as a Business Development Manager. This is not a transactional sales role; it’s a strategic position focused on building our company’s market share and establishing relationships with high-impact clients. You’ll be the architect of our future growth, responsible for generating a pipeline not just for yourself, but for our entire sales team. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a proven track record of securing new business and building long-term, high-value partnerships.

Responsibilities
  • Build and manage a robust sales pipeline for yourself and the team by identifying, prospecting, and qualifying high-impact new clients through cold outreach, networking, and strategic research.
  • Act as a strategic partner to prospective clients, collaborating with them to develop promotional strategies and campaigns that align with their brand and marketing goals. This is a long-term strategic relationship, not a quick one-off sale.
  • Lead the entire new business sales cycle, from initial contact and needs analysis through to proposal, negotiation, and closing.
  • Document and define project scope after a needs analysis is complete, asking the right questions to ensure a successful handoff to our customer service team for order execution.
  • Grow the company’s market share and bring in new business, while meeting or exceeding key performance indicators (KPIs) like new business development targets and sales targets.
