Job Description We are seeking a highly proactive, self‑driven Business Development Manager who will play a key role in driving the continued growth of our business in Switzerland. In this role, you will identify new market opportunities, build strong customer relationships, and position Eurofins as a preferred partner for GMP‑compliant analytical testing services in the fields of Microbiology, Chemical‑Physical Analytics and Environmental & Utility Testing. Responsibilities Identify, target, and acquire new customers within the Swiss (Bio)Pharma sector through proactive outreach and event‑driven lead generation Drive sales growth by developing new business opportunities and closing deals aligned with strategic objectives Implement targeted sales strategies to accelerate market penetration and strengthen regional presence Plan and execute sales activities to achieve ambitious revenue goals Manage existing accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction, identifying opportunities for upselling and cross‑selling Represent the company at conferences, exhibitions, and industry events Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records in key IT systems, including CRM tools and customer databases Qualifications A scientific degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field At least 3 years of experience in customer interaction, ideally with initial exposure to Business Development A minimum of 5 years of experience in Microbiology, ideally SME level Solid knowledge of GMP regulations, essential for performing the role effectively Excellent communication, negotiation, organizational, and teamwork skills Proficiency in common IT applications, including MS Office and CRM systems Excellent spoken and written English skills Willingness to travel up to 20% Additional Information If we have aroused your interest, we would be delighted if you could send us a personal cover letter, your CV and references.
