2024 / 25 is shaping up to be an exciting year across the business as we continue our growth phase across our key markets. As such, we have a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and suitably experienced Business Development professional to join us. As the outward facing representative for our Engineering Construction business on the East Coast, your exceptional interpersonal and communication skills will be integral as you engage with our current and future partners across the region.
Ideally, as the successful candidate you will be Brisbane based with demonstrable experience working with a diverse client base across the Energy, Resources and Infrastructure sectors as they bring business to the region. You will utilise your ability to actively engage clients and critically identify key opportunities in both mature and emerging markets. This role will see you responsible for the tracking/reporting of prospects in a structured methodical manner and as the main driver in converting opportunities into secured project wins.

Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with the National Business Development Manager to identify opportunities to grow our east Coast construction business in line with our Business and Strategic Plans.
  • Maintaining the strong existing relationships we have with our customers whilst nurturing new relationships through identifying/developing new lines of business opportunity.
  • Tracking/reporting on the pipeline of prospects across the East Coast of Australia in a methodical and structured manner.
  • Leading the process from opportunity identification though to tender, working with our Tendering team to develop win strategies and convert opportunities into successful contract wins.
  • Leading the completion of pre tender activities such as EOI’s, ROI’s, prequalifications and the like, understanding customer drivers and positioning us to the the contractor of choice
  • Developing and implementing strategies and initiatives to take advantage of the opportunity pipeline in sectors outside of our current portfolio of work.
  • Representing the company across governmental working groups, assigned events and ad-hoc networking opportunities.
  • Developing innovative proposals that take in account an ever-changing regulatory environment and changing global conditions whilst supporting the management team with business insights and analysis.
