Description

My client is a leading player in the Electronic Supply Chain space, specialising in the procurement and sale of Obsolete, Excess and Shortage components and an expert solution provider to the Electronic Manufacturing Industry.
They are in an exciting period of success driven, organic growth across the business, globally. As a result of the growth, my client is seeking a strong results driven, sales/commercial specialist with experience of the Independent Broker market or Electronic Component Supply Chain.
As an Account Manager/Sales Manager, you will be responsible for selling both Active and Passive electronic components (semiconductors). You will have the opportunity to build your own customer base by prospecting, servicing and nurturing an account base that includes Tier 1 OEM/CEM manufacturers and other electronics companies around the world. The vast percentage of these clients sit within the Fortune 500.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Develop relationships with potential customers after cold outreach and warm existing clients
  • Enter and maintain customer profiles into my client’s internal sales database
  • Cultivate a continuous pipeline of prospects
  • Maintain relationships with customers to retain sales
  • Interface with the purchasing team to stay informed of current inventory
  • Negotiate prices with customers according to market trends
  • Develop specific marketing strategies to generate sales leads, pursue industry growth and discover the best way to represent the organisation to established clients

Competencies:

  • Aptitude to connect with customers over the phone, build relationships and close deals.
  • Willingness to make outbound phone calls every day.
  • Self-motivated with attention to detail.
  • Committed to customer satisfaction, confidentiality and ability manage proprietary data.
  • Fluent or at least strong English and German language skills are essential

Experience:

  • Previous sales or cold-calling experience required.
  • Strong affinity or experience with electronic components
  • Knowledge of the Brokerage space in any industry, i.e. insurance or banking

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
