As part of our growth strategy, we are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive expansion, secure partnerships, and develop scalable opportunities in the UK market.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education:
  • A Level 7 qualification (Master’s degree or equivalent) in Business Management, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • 3–5 years’ proven experience in business development, sales, or strategic growth roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to secure and manage high-value partnerships or accounts.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment is highly desirable.
  • Skills & Requirements:
  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of market trends and business growth strategies.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and drive projects from initiation to completion.
  • Full UK driving licence (essential), with flexibility to travel across London and Essex as required.

Responsibilities

The Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in growing our serviced accommodation and HMO portfolio. Responsibilities include:

  • Market Expansion & Strategy
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities, including partnerships with landlords, agents, and investors.
  • Develop and implement strategies to expand Nest Works Living’s serviced accommodation and HMO presence across London and the wider UK.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform growth strategies.
  • On-Site & Office Engagement
  • Regularly visit and oversee on-ground operations across our portfolio, including Stockwell Apartments and East London HMOs.
  • Attend and coordinate activities from our head office in Essex (Chelmsford).
  • Liaise with operations teams to ensure smooth onboarding and management of properties.
  • Partnership Development & Negotiation
  • Negotiate contracts with landlords, property owners, and agents.
  • Build long-term relationships with corporate clients, relocation agencies, and booking platforms.
  • Represent the company at networking events and industry forums.
  • Operational & Financial Growth
  • Set and achieve revenue and occupancy targets with senior management.
  • Analyse financial data and performance to maximise profitability.
  • Support pricing strategy and oversee the integration of new business opportunities.
  • Compliance & Leadership
  • Ensure compliance with local authority regulations, including HMO licensing and short-term let requirements.
  • Contribute to company strategy and investment decisions.
  • Support marketing initiatives to drive bookings and client acquisition.
