Purpose of Role: The Offshore Renewable Energy sector is in a critical period, with a need to accelerate the path to NetZero while maintaining energy security. With the publication of the Severn Estuary Commission, there is renewed focus on Tidal Range, and with several Tidal Stream CfD wins in recent years, the sector is looking to scale. This role is all about driving sector development focusing on the tidal range and tidal stream sectors, while consolidating existing agreements and giving the right support to other new emerging technologies within the portfolio. Your purpose is to support strategic growth initiatives aligned with the sub-sector strategy. Through your customer engagement, technical expertise, and strategic planning, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of our new energies offerings. Your responsibilities include business development, customer engagement, stakeholder management, contract management and technical management of consultant expertise. You will contribute insights to shape the leasing design parameters and lead on contract negotiation and management willing to get in to the legal detail, driving revenue generation and sector growth. You will be a facilitator and convener, capable of seeing the wider picture and politics to grow the sectors. You will be comfortable representing the portfolio externally, working with emerging Government policy and industry professional bodies.
