Responsibilities

Help Shape Skills, Growth and Innovation in Mansfield & Ashfield
NTU has made Mansfield and Ashfield a strategic priority, investing £6.5m in specialist facilities and securing Towns Funding to boost skills, innovation and business success. Now we’re looking for someone who can help us take that vision further.
In this role, you’ll be a key link between the University, Vision West Nottinghamshire College, and local employers, supporting businesses to access high-level skills, graduate talent, and resources that drive innovation and growth.

You will:

  • Build strong relationships with employers, networks, and local authorities to identify skills gaps and growth opportunities.
  • Lead and refine our Organisation Needs Analysis and referral approach so every business, from start-up to large employer, can benefit.
  • Promote the value of apprenticeships and higher technical education as part of business and recruitment strategies.
  • Use your marketing expertise to create compelling campaigns and events that connect local businesses to our offer.
  • Work closely with colleagues across the University’s business-facing teams to deliver joined-up support.
  • You’ll be confident engaging at all levels, proactive in spotting opportunities, and knowledgeable about apprenticeships and the Skills/Apprenticeship Levy. You’ll bring fresh marketing insight to ensure our offer is visible, relevant and impactful.
  • This is your chance to make a real difference to the prosperity of Mansfield and Ashfield, helping businesses grow, people upskill, and our region thrive.

For more details, please take a look at the role profile. We’ll still consider applications even if you don’t meet every single one of the requirements, so don’t be put off if you don’t match them perfectly. To ensure the diverse needs of our team are met we actively encourage secondments and offer flexible part-time working patterns - we’re focused on finding the right person for the role.
