THE OPPORTUNITY

We’re looking for a high-performing and driven Business Development Manager to lead sales growth and uncover new opportunities across New South Wales. You’ll be at the heart of our Security business, helping to shape strategy, build long-term partnerships, and deliver meaningful results.
This role is about more than just sales, it’s about thinking commercially, connecting people to solutions, and creating value that lasts.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Grow the region by generating leads, driving pipeline, and converting new customers across key sectors.
  • Strengthen trusted relationships with channel partners, key decision makers, and influencers.
  • Raise Gallagher’s profile by representing our brand at industry events, presentations, and within vertical markets.
  • Analyse customer insights, market trends, and competitor activity to inform agile growth and account plans.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams including technical specialists, marketing, and product to deliver tailored, high-value solutions.
Responsibilities

To succeed in this role, you’ll also need:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in B2B sales, ideally within the technology or security industry.
  • Proven success in solution-based selling, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • A strong commercial mindset, with the ability to interpret data, analyse market trends, and make strategic recommendations.
  • Confident presentation skills and the ability to lead conversations with senior stakeholders, consultants, and industry influencers.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A collaborative approach, with experience working effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills, with a track record of achieving and exceeding targets.
  • A curious, growth-oriented mindset with the confidence to bring new ideas forward and challenge your own thinking.
