SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

We’re looking for someone with:

  • At least two years of commercial experience in the veterinary sector.
  • A demonstrated ability to identify, convert, and capitalise on sales opportunities.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with both suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Experience in a multi-site operations environment (e.g., franchise business model).
  • A proactive, results-oriented mindset with excellent organisational skills.
  • High levels of commercial acumen and strategic thinking.

EXPERIENCE

  • More than two years commercial experience in veterinary sales, pet food sales, animal pharmaceuticals or similar animal health related industry
  • Demonstrable record of success in delivering key commercial KPIs
  • Strong leadership and team working skills
  • Strong negotiation, planning and presentation skills.
  • A current driving license.
  • This is a field-based position; you will need to be able to travel throughout Queensland to visit clinics
Responsibilities

As Business Development Manager – NSW, your responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the key connection between our business and veterinary clinics by building meaningful relationships with veterinarians and clinic staff.
  • Supporting sales through customer engagement and business development.
  • Using sales techniques to grow company presence and drive activity within the assigned area.
  • Ensuring ongoing support for your customer base, including new member acquisition and retention.
  • Tailoring plans to meet member needs, such as training, product offerings, and rebate maximisation.
  • Establishing connections with new clinics to secure memberships and generate leads.
  • Collaborating with peers to share best practices and insights, while working with market-ing to deliver customer initiatives.
  • Attending industry events and trade shows to strengthen client relationships and repre-sent United Vets Group.
