We are using and creating technology to transform operations at sea to enable people and the planet to thrive.
We are open-minded and fearless in our approach to innovation and don’t believe in boundaries. We challenge everything and have massive ambitions to drag aging industries into the tech era.
We take safety, equality and education very seriously, and our responsibilities don’t stop at our front door. Our business is built on the belief that there’s definitely a more environmentally responsible way to operate at sea.
We employ people who share our core values. We expect our people to be courageous, trustworthy, and conscientious, driven by a desire to do the right thing. We strive for excellence, work collaboratively, and are genuinely excited by our work.
We offer opportunities for our people to develop beyond their role and span a multitude of disciplines. These are open to all, regardless of background and experience level. Working with us means being part of a team that is harnessing technology and creativity to disrupt a traditional industry.
We are not your average workplace.
Ocean Infinity is seeking to strengthen and grow its Commercial team with talented, knowledgeable and enthusiastic Business Development Management.
As part of our mission to expand and diversify our global commercial reach, we are seeking a talented, motivated, and knowledgeable Business Development Manager to join our growing Commercial team.
This is a strategic position that plays a key role in driving new business across one or more of our core service lines—subsea inspection, geophysical and geotechnical survey, AUV operations, USV operations, and vessel chartering—depending on the candidate’s background and network. You will work closely with the Lead Business Development Manager and collaborate cross-functionally across Ocean Infinity’s global teams to identify, develop, and close commercial opportunities that align with our growth ambitions.

What will you do:

  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies and key account plans to drive new business and build upon strategic partnerships within selected sectors;
  • Identify and pursue new client opportunities across relevant markets (e.g., energy, telecoms, renewables, infrastructure);
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and industry stakeholders;
  • Collaborate with internal technical, operations, and project delivery teams to ensure commercial proposals are aligned with capabilities and deliver value;
  • Prepare and deliver tailored presentations, proposals, and responses to RFIs/RFPs;
  • Support the negotiation and closing of commercial agreements and contracts;
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and client feedback to inform business strategy;
  • Contribute to shaping the future direction of Ocean Infinity’s commercial focus areas based on emerging client needs and market trends;
  • Represent Ocean Infinity at key industry events, conferences, and networking engagements.

Who you are:

  • Proven track record in business development or sales within the maritime, subsea, or offshore industry;
  • Strong network and familiarity with one or more of the following areas: subsea inspections, geophysical/geotechnical surveys, AUV/ROV operations, vessel chartering, or uncrewed surface vessels (USVs);
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills across all levels of an organization;
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment;
  • Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Competent with productivity tools such as Microsoft Office, Teams, and CRM systems;
  • Takes ownership and shows initiative in delivering results;
  • Open and receptive to new and different ideas;
  • Operates with integrity, maturity, and discretion;
  • Proactive and collaborative team player with a growth mindset;
  • Strong time management, organizational, and critical thinking skills;
  • Enthusiastic about technology, sustainability, and making a positive impact.

Desirable

  • Experience working in high-growth or innovation-led environments;
  • Background in offshore energy (renewables or oil & gas), subsea telecoms, or marine infrastructure;
  • Commercial or technical degree in engineering, marine science, geoscience, business, or related field;
  • Multilingual capabilities and experience in international business development.

Salary for this position: up to £75,000 per annum
