POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Outpost Technologies is seeking a driven and experienced
Business Development Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving growth by identifying new opportunities, building relationships, and securing contracts within the Aerospace and Defense industry. This role requires not only strong business development expertise but also the ability to understand and clearly communicate technical concepts.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, preferably in the Aerospace and Defense industry.
  • Ability to quickly grasp and communicate technical concepts, with a demonstrated comfort level working alongside technical teams.
  • Strong understanding of the DoD acquisition process, procurement regulations, and contracting mechanisms.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and self-motivated approach.
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving sales and growth targets.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in business development within the government contracting space, preferably with the Department of Defense.
  • Experience working with small business set-aside programs.
  • Existing network of contacts within the DoD and related industries.
  • Familiarity with technical domains such as Aerospace and Defense systems and technologies.
  • Proposal writing and bid management experience.
  • Demonstrated success in securing government contracts and consistently achieving growth objectives.
