We are seeking an experienced and motivated Business Development Manager to play a pivotal role in expanding our service and strengthening our relationships with local authorities across the UK. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement a business development strategy aligned with organisational goals. Build, manage, and maintain strong relationships with commissioners and placement teams within local authorities. Identify, pursue, and secure new placement opportunities, ensuring that the needs of children and young people remain central to service growth. Lead on tendering and framework applications, ensuring compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements. Monitor market trends and policy changes within children’s social care to inform strategy and service development. Collaborate with internal teams to align business opportunities with operational capacity and high-quality care delivery. About You: Proven experience in business development, commissioning, or contracts management within children’s social care (or a closely related sector). Strong knowledge of local authority commissioning processes and frameworks. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Ability to work strategically, with a focus on sustainable growth and positive outcomes for children.
