JOB DESCRIPTION

Peoplemark, an Allied Universal® Company, is hiring a Business Development Manager. The Business Development Manager will sell Peoplemark services to customers and prospects within an assigned region.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Sales training on strategic consultative selling techniques
  • Minimum of two (2) years of outside sales experience in a B2B environment
  • Strong experience strategically planning sales calls, sales presentations, cold calling, and closing deals
  • Experience using a formal and defined sales process
  • Proven track record of excellence in sales activity (awards, top rankings, etc.) using consultative sales techniques to succeed
  • A true “hunter” utilizing personal relationships and technologies to drive explosive revenue growth
  • Strong communication, organization, and writing skills
  • Ability to manage complex projects and successfully multi-task
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented sales environment that allows for collaboration with the operations team, in order to identify and resolve issues and concerns
  • Highly effective leadership skills with the ability to build strong relationships internally with all levels of the organization, as well as manage difficult service delivery timeframes
  • Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty
  • Ability to travel throughout all areas of the territory, including some overnight travel
  • Must possess valid drivers license and be able to drive to meetings, presentations, and events

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field of study
  • Experience in the staffing industry
Responsibilities
  • Plan and oversee new marketing and sales initiatives within assigned region to drive revenue growth
  • Research the latest trends in the industry, as well as organizations and individuals, to find new opportunities and expand business
  • Actively work to increase the value of current customers while attracting new ones, in collaboration with Branch Manager
  • Work with and collaborate with the Branch Manager on current existing PM clients with respect to proposal and financial retention strategies
  • Identify and develop new markets to improve sales for Peoplemark
  • Attend conferences, meetings, and industry events
  • Generate quotes and proposals for prospective clients
  • Develop and achieve goals for the development of the Peoplemark business
  • Work with the Regional Director to develop strategic and tactical action plans for each new prospect or targeted client in assigned territory
  • Promote a strong understanding of the company and the services offered, as well as business position and competition to keep business competitive
