Primary Connect+ manages the transport of freight for our customers into our Distribution Centres and any other location around New Zealand. We’re looking for an International Business Development Manager to join our Primary Connect+ business here in Aotearoa reporting to our National Business Development Manager - Primary Connect+.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO | HEI MAHI

Joining our Primary Connect+ team you’ll take accountability for growing the Primary Connect+ International and Warehousing reach across New Zealand, Australia and beyond. You’ll be responsible for generating new leads and maximising revenue for the PC+ business.

Some of the key responsibilities:

  • Get out to customers, including in the regions, for face to face meetings to develop meaningful relationships
  • Grow the 3PL warehousing solution (both for International and Domestic customers), and related transport to the end destination, with our carrier partners.
  • Work and maintain good working relationships with current PC+ customers, and potential other customers, engage directly with their logistics team who manage international shipping and warehousing.
  • Help develop the Primary Connect+ Brand in the market and positively reflect WWNZ values in our public activities and events.
  • Work with the other Business development managers and Account managers on all areas of their business needs and offer support and backup when requested by your manager.
  • Liaising with the Australian International team closely who will create rates and manage the onboarding trans tasman.

To succeed in this role you will bring:

  • 3+ years of experience in business development specifically in Supply Chain ideally with FMCG experience.
  • Proven international freight experience industry wide
  • Solid understanding of 3PL warehouse operations, implementation processes, and best practices.
  • An ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels and will have a strategic and tactical lens to be able to bring new customers and vendors along the Primary Connect+ journey.
  • Sound inventory management knowledge of setting up customers in 3PL from inception to go live
  • Significant experience in preparing and managing to operational budgets and managing invoicin
