We're looking for a motivated and relationship-focused Business Development Manager to join our Melbourne team.


This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys being out in the market, building strong customer relationships and driving sales across an established territory. You'll work closely with independent liquor retailers while also supporting selected on-premise customers, representing a diverse portfolio of leading liquor brands.

About the Role


As a Business Development Manager, you'll be responsible for managing and growing an established sales territory by building strong customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities and delivering exceptional service.


This is a predominantly field-based role where you'll spend most of your time meeting with customers, presenting promotional activity, securing orders and expanding opportunities within your territory.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow an established customer territory across Melbourne.
  • Build strong relationships with independent liquor retailers and selected on-premise customers.
  • Drive new business opportunities while growing existing customer accounts.
  • Increase product distribution and identify opportunities to grow sales.
  • Present monthly promotional activity, new product launches and core ranging opportunities.
  • Process customer orders and work closely with the internal team to ensure seamless service.
  • Maintain regular customer contact and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity.
  • Collaborate with the wider sales and operations teams to achieve business objectives.

About You


You'll be someone who enjoys building relationships, is motivated by achieving results and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer experiences.


You'll ideally have:

  • Previous sales or business development experience within FMCG, liquor or a related industry.
  • Experience managing a sales territory and achieving sales targets.
  • A proven ability to identify and convert new business opportunities.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently.
  • A current Australian driver's licence.

Experience within the liquor industry will be highly regarded. Candidates with strong hospitality experience and excellent liquor product knowledge are also encouraged to apply.
