Description
We are looking to hire a Business Development Manager (BDM) with 5-10 years of experience in sales of banking and payment solutions within the Omani Market. The ideal candidate should possess strong relationship across the banking sector and financial institutions in Oman and have a solid understanding of the domestic payment landscape. The BDM will be responsible for the full sales lifecycle, perform market analysis and develop relationships with the management and senior staff in the banking and Financial Service Industry. Responsibilities Prepare and execute a sales plan for Oman’s market which meets ProgressSoft’s Strategy and Business plan. Own and achieve annual sales targets in alignment with ProgressSoft’s strategic objectives. Manage the whole sales cycle, from opportunity identification and qualification through coordinating with Product Owners, Project Managers and Technical Team Leaders. Preparing technical and commercial proposals in response to new opportunities or RFPs in cooperation with Bidding Team and business teams Negotiate proposals and contracts of solutions. Maintain disciplined pipeline management and opportunity tracking through consistent and structured use of ProgressSoft’s CRM. Work with related ProgressSoft team to ensure proper engagement with customers and understanding their requirements. Conduct competitive analysis and market intelligence, including benchmarking against alternative solutions and identifying positioning differentiators. Identify new business opportunities, including regulatory-driven initiatives, digital transformation programs, and ecosystem partnerships. Develop and manage third-party product alliances and strategic technology partnerships within the Omani market and in the region, ensuring alignment with local banking requirements and maximizing joint revenue opportunities. Requirements Proven track record of sales in Oman within the banking and financial sector. Solid understanding of banking and payments systems and regulatory driven initiatives. Ability to deal with all levels of staff within internal operational teams to C-level stakeholders. Ability to deal with all levels of staff within external organization, particularly within payments, IT and executive management. Ability to proactively generate leads, expand into new accounts, and create sustainable growth opportunities. Strong communication and negotiation skills with senior decision makers. Excellent command of Arabic and English. Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. Organized, results-oriented, and capable of independently managing long and complex sales cycles. Strategic mindset with the ability to analyze market dynamics, competitive positioning, and growth opportunities.
